The show featured six episodes, each dealing with a particular pirate identity, while also generally dealing with broader pirate themes.
# Henry Avery, the most successful pirate of all time.
# Blackbeard, a colourful womaniser, pirate and musician.
# Thomas Salkeld, a megalomaniac who declared himself king of Lundy Island.
# William Dampier, a buccaneer and explorer.
# The Barbary pirates
# Woodes Rogers, a notorious pirate hunter, who helped put an end to piracy.
James Garrett was the executive producer, while Jayne Edwards was director and producer.
